Reminder on Protective Equipment and Chemical Handling

Dear team, please remember that goggles, gloves, and a respirator are required whenever you handle any chemical in the storage room. This protective equipment must be worn correctly, not simply carried in your pocket.

Last week, a small spillage occurred because a container was not sealed properly. Fortunately no one suffered any injury, but the incident shows why care is needed. Any leakage or spill must be reported immediately, and the area should be isolated until it is cleaned by a trained inspector.

Disposal of chemical waste must follow the procedure in the safety handbook. Never pour a toxic substance down a regular drain. Ventilation in the storage room should stay on at all time to reduce fume buildup.

If you feel any dizziness or notice a strange smell, leave the area and contact the safety officer without delay. Your health and the health of your colleague depend on following these precaution.
